Prasanna Rajesh is a fellow of the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries (FIA), UK. She has more than 10 years' experience in the Indian life insurance industry. She was one of the team members involved in forecast-ing the capital requirements for a newly formed life insurance company in India. She is now on a long break from work and has used this opportunity to analyze the published accounts of life insurance companies from an outsider's point of view.
