What to expect from this book
The purpose of this book is to finally offer a science-based path to understanding the physics of modern motocross riding technique - explained in simple language and with programs from beginner to expert level, to learn it all on the track.
This program has been developed and refined since 2014 and it has taken 2 years to write into book form - not using A.i.
Already in chapter 3 we define scientifically that the purpose of riding technique is to enable the following
1) Riding as fast as possible
2) As safely as possible
3) While using as little energy as possible
We then derive a mathematical formula to calculate your riding technique energy efficiency based on heart rate data and lap times.
Understanding effortlessness, the 3rd factor, plays a major role in the entire book and you will get a very clear understanding of how to ride with optimal looseness in your arms and hands - studying this will help you reduce arm-pump and fatigue.
Studying top riders
A lot of the riding techniques and concepts are based on studying racing footage of top pro riders, such as Jett Lawrence who is probably the most phenomenal rider in modern motocross history. Fun fact, the photo of Jett on the backside of the paperback version is taken by one of our Fast Club riders from the US.
New discoveries
The book also uses physics to prove that effortlessness and energy efficiency in motocross must be based on a very specific balance point management method combined with correct bio-mechanics and we are not just talking about "correct body position" all the time. This is just one of several new concepts and discoveries presented in the +700-page book.
Why it is a Game Changer
The reason this book is a "game changer" is that it is the first time that a motocross book has been produced by an author who has a scientific university background combined with two other key areas of expertise, meaning:
1) University level physics
2) Winning at the international level
3) Coaching riding technique professionally +10 years
So when stating that this book is "The most advanced science-based motocross training system" then this is because it is the only book on the market that has been written by a University level scientist, who also has been successful as a racer and as a riding coach.
Furthermore, in terms of page count, this book gives you around 2-3 times more pages of "deep knowledge" of riding technique, which is a lot more than the other motocross books on the market - which could be another argument that it is currently the most advanced science-based motocross program available on the book market as of 2025.
Statement from the author
"To pay my respect to the great champions and all the top riding coaches who are my heroes and who are all more accomplished than me, I want to make it clear that I am not claiming to be "the best" riding coach or racer when I say that my program is the most advanced science-based program as of 2025. I am only referring to the science aspect of my work. All I wanted to do was to contribute useful explanations to the sport that I felt were missing." - Coach Toby
The AuthorThis book is written by international race winner and former Nano Scientist, Tobias Prakosri Dahl from Denmark, who is the Race Winner at the 2024 FIM Asia Motocross Championship, Round 1, in the age group from 35-49 years old and he is also the Head Coach of MotocrossPhuket.com, a 2-time TripAdvisor Award winning international motocross training camp. Tobias is also known on YouTube as Fast Coach Toby and more career details are listed in the book, including a podium finish at the national level in enduro off road racing in 2015. The book also has a full chapter about enduro and general off road riding techniques. Buckle up!
