Author Biography

With over 16 years of experience, Jason Shea is the owner of APECS (www.apec-s.com) and CrossFit Tri-Valley (www.crossfit-trivalley.com) Jason has earned the distinguished honor of being recognized as one of less than a dozen PICP Level IV International Strength Coaches in the U.S. His clientele has included professional, college, high school, and Olympic hopeful athletes as well as Fortune 500 business executives, SWAT Teams, military personnel, state and local firefighters, and more than 40 local high school, club, and college teams. He has been strength coach to International Gold Medalists, National Champions, High School Super Bowl Teams, Multiple State Champion Teams, numerous State and New England Champion wrestlers and track athletes, over 25 High School and College league MVP's from all sports, College and high school league all-stars in nearly every sport, and league champion teams in all high school sports. Jason holds a Bachelor's in Exercise Science and Master's in Human Movement. He has been certified through various organizations including the USAW, NASM, NSCA, ISSA, and PICP. Along with his role as Head Strength Coach at APECS and CrossFit Tri-Valley Jason is also the Massachusetts Statewide Health and Wellness Coordinator for the Municipal Police Training Committee. Here he is responsible for academy certification and dissemination of continuing education for municipal police officers teaching at the Municipal Police Academies in Massachusetts.The success of his business and clientele has led to current positions as Adjunct Professor in the Sport Fitness department at Dean College, consulting Strength Coach to the highly successful Dean College Football and Soccer Teams, Performance Director for the Speed and Power Academy at Franklin High School, Strength and Conditioning Coach to the nationally ranked Boston Irish Wolfhounds Rugby Team, columnist for the Metrowest Daily News, and the opportunity to co-author Law Enforcement articles with world renowned strength coach Charles Poliquin. He has also been a featured lecturer on strength and conditioning topics for various organizations including local colleges, corporation and high schools, Blue Chip Football Camps, and club teams in all sports.
