Artist, author and Irish piper Lewis Blevins uses art, music and prose to transport the reader on a journey through magical, mystical Ireland.

Author Biography

Lewis S. Blevins, Jr., M.D., born in 1961 in Havre de Grace, Maryland, considers himself a native of East Tennessee as he was raised in the Tri-Cities region. He currently resides in Nashville, Tennessee, where he practices medicine in the field of Endocrinology and Metabolism at The Vanderbilt University School of Medicine. Lewis is an artist who paints exclusively in oils on stretched canvas and linen covered boards to represent his interpretations of Irish and American Landscapes. He draws his inspiration from the works of James Humbert Craig and John Singer Sargent. Nashville artists Michael Shane Neal and Dawn Whitelaw have had a significant influence on his attitudes towards painting. He plays the Uilleann pipes (Irish Bagpipes).
