The author, Debbie, has been blessed with a loving family, an upbringing on a farm learning practical life skills, and many great horsemanship skills from a very talented horseman, her father, who taught her to break-in horses thirty years ago in the natural way, and to be able to ride horses to compete up to state level championships. Starting with pony club and moving into the show ring, dressage, jumping, campdrafting, barrel racing and polocrosse, she was a member of the breathtaking 2000 Olympics opening ceremony team of one hundred and twenty musical ride performers.
