Author Biography

The Author developed a love for fishing at a very young age. His mentor and primary fishing buddy was his grandfatehr. He came to appreciate the beauty and character of old fishing tackle. After his granfather passsed away he jumped into the collecting hobby with both feet. Over the last twenty years he has accumulated a tremendous collection of old lures, reels and other artifacts. The author is a member of the Outdoor Writers of Ohio as well as the National Fishing Lure Collectors Club (NFLCC) and the Old Reel Collectors Association (ORCA). The author is a life time resident of Ohio and has traveled to all corners of the state in search of Ohio's fishing history.
