Drescher, of Quakertown, PA, has served as a pastor in three congregations, as bishop or overseer in three conferences, Moderator of the Mennonite Church in North America, editor of Gospel Herald, and seminary teacher. He is married to Betty Keener. They are the parents of five married children and have fourteen grandchildren, one great grandchild. Drescher has authored 37 books, of which more than a dozen relate to husband and wife, and parent and child relationships. Others have to do with spiritual renewal and growth. He served for years as contributing editor to Pulpit Digest and is presently a senior editor of Our Faith magazine.
