New Ways in Teaching Visual Literacy is a new addition to the popular New Ways series, which offers a collection of innovative, classroom-tested activities for multilingual learners of English, contributed by teachers around the world and organized by theme and ready to adapt to learners' needs.

This volume offers a dynamic collection of nearly 100 classroom-tested activities that help multilingual learners of English develop both the linguistic and visual communication skills they need to succeed in the 21st century. Activities range from quick, low-prep exercises to extended projects, adaptable to all proficiency levels and learning contexts-including low-tech environments. This essential volume bridges the gap between visual media and language instruction, recognizing the power of images, videos, social media, and student-generated art in fostering deeper learning.
