Justin Campbell was an active, out-going, five-year-old boy with red hair and freckles. A scar running the length of his chest was the only indication that this happy little boy had been born with a congenital heart defect. Author Biography
Sheila K. Campbell, born and raised in the West Texas Panhandle, graduated from Hale Center High and married her high school sweetheart, Robert Campbell, just months after graduation. She and her husband were blessed with four children including their oldest son, Justin, who was left severely handicapped at age five. Sheila began homeschooling in 1991 and continued homeschooling as a single parent after the death of her husband in 2001. She also continued to care for her special needs child at home until his death in 2004. She has been a regular contributor to the Texas Homeschool REVIEW and The Old Schoolhouse magazines for several years. Sheila lives outside the small West Texas town of Hale Center where she enjoys the tranquility of country living and pens her thoughts at www.pausingtopraise.com.
