by Thomas Nisbett (Author)

Mountain Streams: Restoring Our Nature is a contemplative work on the created order. God created human nature and the natural world to reflect the divine nature. Restoring our nature has a double meaning: (1) living in the natural way, the way God designed humans to live; and (2) preserving and protecting the natural world and wilderness by the way we live. Two major streams of thought flow through the book: the Eli Stanley Jones stream of thought, regarding faith, and the Aldo Leopold stream of thought, regarding wilderness and the land ethic. A deeper understanding of human nature combined with a better appreciation of the natural world is presented with forty meditations on spiritual principles and practices.
