Born in 1004, Nasir-i Khusraw was the major poet and philosopher of the early Ismailiyya. Annemarie Schimmel is Professor Emeritus of Indo-Muslim Culture at Ilarvard University and Honorary Professor at the University of Bonn. She has published over fifty books on Islamic literature, mysticism and culture.
