by Cameron D. Armstrong (Author)

Romania is one of the most popular destinations for Western missionaries, both short and long term. While this history of mission work is indeed a cause for rejoicing, there is real danger in not fully understanding the cultural ramifications of unexamined mission efforts. The delicate work of heralding the gospel in culturally-appropriate forms, a process missiologists call contextualization, is the need of the hour.

This volume is a compilation of seven essays geared to promoting contextualized mission in Romania. Cameron D. Armstrong discusses conceptual insights gleaned from interviews on various cultural touchpoints with both Romanian evangelicals and non-evangelicals. In this way, the book offers a unique "insider" perspective on the current state of and need for mission work in Romania.

"This is the book to read before doing a short or long-term mission to Romania. Important insights on the Romanian culture and how to apply the gospel to this particular context. I would also recommend this book to Romanian evangelicals in order for them to be effective in sharing the gospel with their friends, family, and colleagues."
