by Matt L. Beadle (Author)

This book provides young leaders or future high-potentials the guidance needed for how to deal with the challenges of leading teams in modern organizations.

Leading ones first team can be a daunting and sometimes overwhelming experience, requiring self-reflection, self-discipline, communication, and organizational skills as well as no small amount of guts and values.

This book provides young leaders or future high-potentials the guidance needed for how to deal with the challenges of leading teams in modern organizations. Understanding the power of strengths-based leadership using clear two-way communication and, in particular, identifying with one's own leadership philosophy are central themes in this book. It highlights the typical mistakes made by first-time leaders and offers theoretical and practical advice to deal with the difficulties of management.

Author Biography

Matt L. Beadle is a British management consultant who specializes in leadership development for young and new managers. After completing bachelor's and master's degrees at Greenwich and Birmingham City universities, respectively, Matt became a serial entrepreneur, setting up and running several companies before the sale of the last one in 2016. Since 2000 he has worked as a freelance management trainer and facilitator for Fortune 500 companies and global players across the world. He has trained or moderated over 20,000 executives of 40 different nationalities in over 20 countries and is one of the most renowned leadership experts working out of mainland Europe today. Matt's unique brand of humorous, energetic training and moderation inspires his participants and no two workshops are the same. Matt is married and lives together with his wife and their two children in Werther, Germany (where the famous sweets come from). Matt is the author of two other books, and produces his own leadership video courses, available on the Internet.
