by Edgar Stubbersfield (Author)

The Pastoral Epistles, ! & 2 Timothy and Titus, are very different to the other works of Paul, so different in fact that most scholars conclude they are not genuine. My Introduction to the Pastoral Epistles looks at the issue of authorship and examines why the content has changed so dramatically. The book also looks at themes found in the three books such as leadership and heretical belief and practices.

Author Biography

Ted Stubbersfield grew up in the small town of Gatton in Queensland, Australia in the 50's. It was a good time to be young. Life was simple, relatively safe and faith in God was taken for granted. After being thrown out of school in 1965 he started an apprenticeship as a motor mechanic, something he was ill suited to. In 1970, Ted went on an extended trip overseas and was confronted by the Christian gospel in many countries and saw for the first time that there was a God who was alive. That year he met with Jesus in a Damascus road type experience. Ministry seemed to be the logical call on his life and he trained initially with the Church of Christ and then in the UK with the Elim Pentecostal Church but found himself most at home with a remarkable group of Grace Baptists. The Lord had mercy on His church and Ted went back to the family business, a sawmill. He kept his interest in Christian faith, living and doctrine by studying by correspondence and by writing. Ted has a number of other publications but in a very different field, weather exposed timber structures. He is currently working as a consultant in this field. He completed a Master of Theology in Applied Theology in 2011 through the University of Wales.
