The second chapter covers the conceptual and theoretical definitions of terms considered key in gifted education. The third chapter documents selected theories or models, explaining how they inform gifted education policy and practice. The fourth chapter looks at formal and informal identification and classifications, as well as characteristics of gifted students in inclusive education settings. In the fifth chapter, special issues in gifted education, such as the gifted under-achiever, twice exceptional learners, and others are covered. The sixth chapter delves into support systems for gifted students, including guidance and counselling, mentorship, career guidance, transition, and policy and legislation, telling how they influence gifted education provisions. The seventh chapter highlights educational considerations for gifted students.
