by Linda Nilson Ph. D. (Author)

For every man who has ever been dumped or divorced: Never let it happen again! Keeping a woman is a challenge for any man, and you're perfectly normal if you've ever lost yours. Women are hard to understand and even harder to please, but oh-so easy to love and even easier to lose! They are almost always the one who ends the relationship, leaving you broken-hearted and bewildered. Even the woman who stays with you may turn out not to be the same alluring love-bunny you fell for. This is the woman who goes to seed and, in effect, "leaves" through the door to your heart. This book will tell you all you need to know about keeping your woman and keeping her the same woman you love so much. You'll learn how to: * Read the signs that she's going to seed - early enough to stop the process * Read the signs that she's planning to leave you - in plenty of time to change her mind * Separate the real reasons for her leaving from those that men often think are the reasons * Avoid common relationship pitfalls (time, kids, in-laws, ex's, etc.) * Keep special types of women who are harder to keep * Get her back - maybe - and know when to let go.

Author Biography

Linda Nilson, Ph.D. has authored many books, book chapters, and articles on a variety of sociological topics and, more recently, on strategies to improve teaching at the university level. Among her latest volumes is Teaching at Its Best: A Research-Based Resource for College Instructors, now in its third edition (Jossey-Bass, 2010). She designs teaching and career-related workshops for college-level faculty and conducts them at institutions and conferences in the U.S. and internationally. Currently she directs the faculty development center at Clemson University and previously directed similar centers at Vanderbilt University and the University of California, Riverside. Before going into administration, she taught and conducted research in sociology at UCLA. She received her M.S. and Ph.D. in sociology from the University of Wisconsin, Madison as a National Science Foundation Fellow and her B.A. in sociology from the University of California, Berkeley, where she was elected in Phi Beta Kappa. Between university positions, Linda ran her own commercial writing business, where she wrote and designed brochures, ads, press releases, professional bio's, business correspondence, and executive resumes. During this time she was also business editor of Southern California's Inland Empire Magazine. For several years Linda was active in Toastmasters International. She held various club offices and won many awards for her public speaking, including the U.S. Southern Regional Humorous Speech Contest in 1995. Linda resides in Anderson, SC with her husband Greg Bauernfeind. She has three grown stepchildren whom she loves like her own and two precious miniature Schnauzers.
