This is a translation of two illustrated police manuals from 1941, showing how to stop, search and arrest suspicious persons as well as how to defend against sudden attacks. The manuals are from Osaka and Yokohamatwo of the largest cities in Japan. They also contain an illustrated guide to Hojo, rope binding techniques, which were used instead of metal handcuffs.
