Health is a clear, practical resource designed to help English language learners understand and communicate about one of the most essential areas of everyday life: personal and public health. Whether learners are navigating a doctor's visit, reading health information, managing wellness decisions, or discussing community health issues, this book equips them with the vocabulary, concepts, and confidence to participate meaningfully in these conversations.

Designed for intermediate learners from middle school through adult education, Health presents 15 carefully structured units in a four-page format that gradually builds knowledge and skills. Each unit begins by introducing the topic and 12-16 key words--an effective way to activate background knowledge and prepare learners for deeper understanding. A short reading on the second page uses the key vocabulary in context, helping students learn new words while developing comprehension around important health issues.

The third page of each unit focuses on form and usage, guiding learners through targeted vocabulary practice that strengthens accuracy and retention. The fourth page expands the topic further through idioms, expressions, and communicative activities that reflect how people actually talk about health in real situations. Together, these pages create a cohesive, integrated learning experience that reinforces meaning, form, and real-world use.

Because each four-page unit is photocopiable, teachers can easily select and adapt material to fit their specific learners and lesson plans. Units progress from more accessible themes to more advanced concepts, ensuring a smooth and supportive learning pathway. An audio program further strengthens listening comprehension and pronunciation, offering learners additional exposure to health-related language.
