The Bible as literature can be read from the perspective of discovering the forerunners of different branches of science. Reading the Bible for scientific clues, we do not look for the same content as looking for faith components. From the first book in the Bible Genesis to the last book, Revelation we will find descriptors of our physical responsiveness to the environment. The intention of science is to clarify and strengthen our knowledge base. Faith offers us the opportunity to appreciate the artistry of God using inspired authors.
Moving beyond only reading the scriptures will navigate the reader to a deeper interpretation of 'listening to the text'. What else is it saying to you? Genesis starts with time, space, and matter. All three were initiated by an input of vast energy.
