His career includes being an executive with the Hershey Corporation, the National Food Trade Association, an assistant superintendent of schools, and an assistant vice-chancellor of a state university. His education includes a BA degree in speech and communication, a master's degree in political science from the University of Arizona, and his doctorate in management and counseling.
