by Frederick N. Seay (Author)

How do we live as Easter People in a world that often feels like Good Friday? This collection of sermons spans the journey from Ash Wednesday through Eastertide and Ascension, offering deep insights into Scripture and practical encouragement for faith-filled living. Drawing from the Revised Common Lectionary and decades of pastoral experience, Frederick N. Seay explores themes of forgiveness, grace, and resurrection hope.

Whether you are a preacher seeking inspiration or a believer longing for spiritual renewal, these sermons invite you to walk the Lenten path, celebrate Easter joy, and embrace the call to live as Easter People-marked by love, empowered by the Spirit, and sent to serve the world.Frederick (FRED) N. Seay was born and grew up in Pascagoula, Mississippi. After graduating from the University of Southern Mississippi and attending Reformed Theological Seminary, he graduated with the Master of Divinity and then the Doctor of Ministry degrees from Austin Presbyterian Theological Seminary. After a year serving as a mission volunteer on the Mexico- U.S. border, he was ordained as a Minister in the Presbyterian Church (USA) on Super Bowl Sunday, 1990. He has served churches in Arizona, Louisiana, and Texas (in the Rio Grande Valley, a small town, and a Houston suburb). Since 2011 he has been Pastor at First Presbyterian Church in Sugar Land, Texas. He and his wife, Ruth, have three grown children. He has published articles in Reformed Worship and The Journal of Presbyterian History.
