Michael W. Thompson was born and raised in Paducah, Kentucky, and resided in Louisville and Lexington throughout the 1990s and 2010s. He holds a Bachelor's in Zoology and Chemistry from the University of Louisville and Ph.D. in Biochemistry from the University of Kentucky. A strong advocate for outdoor recreation, he has been an avid cyclist, runner, and triathlete for many years. Dr. Thompson currently resides in Cheyenne, Wyoming.
