by Christine Kohler (Author), Tim D. Ware (Foreword by)

A Voice of Visions: Poetic Meditations is a collection of forty poems focused on people in the Bible who saw visions, as well as visions the author experienced after having brain surgery. Most of the poems--free verse, sestinas, villanelles, and haikus--have a biblical theme of visions, prophets, and spiritual phenomena. This poetry book is ideal for use in Bible studies, biblical literature studies, church settings, devotionals, or individual enjoyment. These thought-provoking poems are good conversation starters to get readers to envision how people might have reacted when they encountered God in unusual ways.

Author Biography

Christine Kohler is a former journalist, teacher, and writing instructor. A Voice of Visions: Poetic Meditations is her nineteenth book. She is the author of Silent No More: Bible Women Speak Up (Resource). Besides poetry, Kohler has published nonfiction, fiction, and novels. Kohler is a graduate of Parkland College, Illinois, and the University of Hawaii. She has lived in six states, Guam, and Japan, and now resides with her husband in Texas.
